EFFECTIVE 7 OCTOBER 2026
Marketplace terms
These terms explain the current Afrigig marketplace service.
Using Afrigig
You must provide accurate information, keep your account secure and use the marketplace lawfully. You must be able to enter into contracts in your country. Do not impersonate another person, misuse personal information, post unlawful material or interfere with the service.
Clients and freelancers
Clients are responsible for describing their project needs and deciding whether a freelancer is suitable. Freelancers are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, portfolios, availability and claims. Afrigig may review, request changes to, suspend or remove marketplace content and accounts.
Projects, proposals and contracts
Clients can publish projects, review proposals and message freelancers. Freelancers can submit proposals and discuss the work directly with clients. A client can offer contract terms by accepting a proposal, and the contract becomes active only after the freelancer also accepts the displayed scope, price or rate, delivery estimate and milestones.
Payments
Afrigig does not currently provide marketplace payments or escrow. Do not send money on the assumption that Afrigig is holding or protecting it.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Afrigig permission to store, review and display it as needed to operate the marketplace. You must have permission to share portfolio material, client information and external links.
Availability and changes
Afrigig may change, pause or withdraw features to maintain, protect or improve the service. These terms may be updated when the service changes; the effective date above will be revised.
Questions or account closure
Use the contact details in an Afrigig service email to ask a question, report a problem or request account closure.
